Dedicated to imaginative, thoughtful cinema.

Brandon Osterman has spent two decades carving out his own corner of independent cinema.

A filmmaker, producer, and educator, he’s transitioned seamlessly between award-winning shorts, music videos, and narrative features – collecting stories (and more than a few laurels) along the way.

His work tied together with a flair for bold, visually dynamic filmmaking paired with ideas that truly connect – delivered at a level of polish unexpected from scrappy indie filmmaking.

Foundations in Storytelling

Osterman kicked off his career studying Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design before heading to London to sharpen his filmmaking chops under director Mike Leigh at The London Film School.

His animated short Rick and Rocky became an early breakthrough, landing him screenings at Cannes and a slate of other top festivals – a big stage for a playful little stop-motion adventure.

That moment set the tone for everything that followed: a career fueled by a love of visual storytelling in all its forms—2D, stop-motion, CGI, and live action—each one a fresh lens for surprising, delighting, and moving audiences.

Mixing inventive cinematic style with plenty of heart, the film serves up a fresh (and just a little mischievous) spin on holiday tradition—equal parts laughter, wonder, and Christmas magic.

With an award-winning short version already in post-production and gearing up for next year’s festival circuit, he’s building serious momentum as a filmmaker ready to light up the screen as one of indie cinema’s most exciting new voices
